Configuring an AirPort Express Base Station for Remote Audio

Configuring an AirPort Express Base Station for Remote Audio
Users can enjoy their iTunes audio collection throughout their home wirelessly with the use of one or more AirPort Express Base Stations. Not only is the AirPort Express a great 802.11n wireless router, but it is also an excellent method for feeding your iTunes audio from one Mac to a remote location(s) in your home or office without cables. The unit is equipped with a 3.5mm mini stereo jack that connects to remote speakers or audio systems. If you connect speakers to an AirPort Express network, a "speaker" button appears at the bottom of the iTunes window. To listen through your remote speakers, click the button and choose the speakers from the pop-up menu that appears. Selecting and Using the Correct HDMI Adaptor

Selecting and Using the Correct HDMI Adaptor Users can now attach their MacBook, MacBook Pro or Mac Pro to a device that accepts the HDMI interface (High-Definition Multimedia Interface). Some of you may have had experience with this new interface when attaching a cable or satellite box to an HDTV. If so, you may have noticed that both image and audio information is transferred through the HDMI cable. The most current versions of Macs carry the image and audio signal from the Mac via a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter to your HDTV or projection device. Earlier Macs with the Mini DisplayPort support the HDMI but do not carry the computers audio signal. In this situation the user can use their headphone output jack in conjunction with a 3.5mm stereo to L-R RCA audio cable. The RCA left and right connectors on the end of this cable will attach directly to your HDTV or HDMI projector. Other Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapters will connect to both the video output and an audio connector on your computer to send both signals via HDMI. It's best to have your Mac's serial number and model number of the TV available when calling a QuadStar representative so we can provide a solution for your specific need. For more information or to purchase the correct adapter and/or cable, call Paul at QuadStar at 440-546-9911 oremail us.

Emptying the trash deletes the images permanently.
