The New Mac mini

New Mac MiniThe new Mac mini, starting at $599, features an Intel Core i5 dual-core processor ranging from 2.3GHz to 2.5GHz. Standard RAM is 2GB of 1333MHz DDR3 memory, with a built-to-order option of up to 8GB of 1333MHZ DDR3 memory and a built-to-order storage option of up to a 750GB SATA hard drive at 7200rpm. The 2.5GHz Mac mini is equipped with a discrete AMD Radeon HD 6630M graphics processor with 256MB of GDDR5 memory. The 2.3GHz Mac mini has an Intel HD Graphics 3000 processor with 288MB of DDR3 SDRAM that is shared with main memory. AirPort Extreme Wi-Fi wireless networking, with the latest 802.11n wireless technology and Bluetooth capabilities, are built into the Mac mini. The new Mac mini also comes with drivers for hundreds of printers, cameras, mice and other accessories. Connectivity includes the new Thunderbolt port, 4 USB 2.0 ports, a FireWire 800 port, an SDXC card slot and an HDMI port. An external USB-based MacBook Air SuperDrive is available for $79.
