New Features of CS6 Photoshop
In this month's tutorial we will continue to explore new features of Photoshop CS6.
Airport Express
The new Apple AirPort Express features a redesigned compact enclosure and new wireless and connectivity capabilities. Simultaneous dual-band 802.11n Wi-Fi allows users to create a network that delivers optimal performance and range. It transmits at both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies at the same time, so no matter which band your wireless devices use, they will automatically connect to the best available band for the fastest possible performance. It features an audio-out port to connect external powered speakers or an A/V receiver and AirPlay to wirelessly stream from iTunes on a Mac or iOS device. A USB 2.0 port allows users to share a printer wirelessly over a network, and there is an additional Ethernet port for connecting to other computers and network devices. The setup for the AirPort Express is built into OS X and iOS. You can use the AirPort Utility to manage your Wi-Fi network and AirPort base stations and to see a graphical overview of your Wi-Fi network and devices. For more information or to purchase the Apple AirPort Express, priced at $99, call QuadStar at 440-546-9911 or e-mail us.
New Features of Photoshop CS6
In this month's tutorial you will see several new features of Photoshop CS6.
Downloading from Safari with OS X 10.7
Locating your downloaded files has been simplified when using the latest version of Safari in conjunction with OS X 10.7. Once you have started downloading a file, a "timeline" icon will appear in the upper right corner of the Safari application window, as shown circled in red in the above picture. Once the download is complete, you may click on the circled icon and a list of all downloads will appear. Then select the download you wish to use. This new feature saves time by eliminating the need to leave Safari to go to the download folder.
